Section 1: “Becoming a Disciple”                                 Session 7: “Stewardship”

stew·ard [stoo-erd] –noun  1. a person who manages another’s property or financial affairs; one who administers anything as the agent of another or others.

Christian Stewardship is not a SCALE of OBEDIENCE, it is a LIFESTYLE of RECOGNIZING God’s OWNERSHIP.

Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it; the world and all who live in it.

Exodus 19:5  “the whole earth is mine”

Job 41:11 “Everything under heaven belongs to me.”

Not what I do with 10%, but what I do with 100%!

I am a “HOUSESITTER.”

Mark 13:32-37 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore, keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back – whether in the evening, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.

I am a “LIFESITTER.”

I Corinthians 6:19-20  You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
