GOOD AS GOLD! Redemptive Healing
“…so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.” – II Corinthians 4:11
“KINTSUKUROI”: “To repair with gold”… the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken.
I am AN ORIGINAL that God put A LOT OF WORK INTO.
Psalm 139:13-14 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
God is CUSTOMIZING me in MY PURPOSE.
Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Psalm 139:15-18 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you.
Isaiah 43:7 & 21 7 “…everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”… 21 the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.
He is Omniscient, Omnipresent & Omnipotent!
He knows my brokenness, He is with me every step, He has power over my brokenness!
He knows how to use brokenness before I’m even broken!
Jars of Clay: soft on the wheel… hardened not “finished”… some hardening needs to be broken to finish… broken bones not set right need to be re-broken to get in proper alignment.
THE “FIXES” DISPLAY HIS GLORIOUS WORK, AND PROCLAIM HIS PRAISE!
God uses RESHAPING TOOLS in our lives.
Sin(our own & others’): 2 Corinthians 7:10 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
TRIALS: James 1:2-4 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
FELLOWSHIP: Ephesians 4:15 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
“Do you want to get well?” – Jesus
